Virginia Now a Soviet-Style Police State

By: John Semmens

CNN’s “Democracy in Peril” host Jim Acosta charged that “Virginia’s new Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin is turning the state into a Soviet-Style police state.” As evidence, he cited “the Governor’s bizarre notion that parents ought to have a say in what their children are taught in the public schools. The whole point of public school is to liberate children from the domination of their parents.”

“Take the teaching of critical race theory as an example,” Acosta said. “When telelearning enabled more parents to observe what was being taught they caused a ruckus at school board meetings. The response under the previous Democratic governor was to silence the criticisms and call for the arrest of the dissenting parents. Now, Gov. Youngkin is asking parents to inform him of their concerns so he can guide the schools toward a focus on basic skills and knowledge that will help students get jobs and lead productive lives—as if these objectives are somehow better than instruction in the correct progressive ideology.”

“Another example is Youngkin’s insistence that it is parents who should decide whether their children should or shouldn’t wear masks in school,” Acosta fumed. “He is denying school officials’ freedom to impose their will on the students under their care. I can’t imagine a more Stalinistic form of oppression. Youngkin should be impeached.”

Biden to Appoint Black Woman to Supreme Court

By: John Semmens

The retirement of Supreme Court Associate Justice Stephen Breyer gives President Biden his first opportunity to put his imprint on that august body. Without hesitation, Biden promised to appoint a black woman to the vacancy, saying “it’s long overdue that a buxom person of color joined our highest court.”

Considering that Sen. Biden (D-Del) vilified current Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas when he was nominated by the First President Bush in 1991 and later filibustered the nomination of Judge Janice Rogers Brown to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia by the younger President Bush in 2003, President Biden has a lot of gall.

Biden denied that there is any inconsistency, pointing out that “I’ve always held that a person cannot be authentically black if he or she is a Republican. I said that to Charlamagne tha God on his radio show during the 2020 campaign and I still stand by it. As a senator from a former slave state I know the difference between a real black person and a fake. I have always opposed and fought against fakes. That’s why voters elected me. They appreciate that I will only put a genuine pure bred black on the Supreme Court and will vote Democrat in this year’s elections to ensure that Republicans won’t be able to thwart the unity that a super majority of Democrats in both houses of Congress will deliver to America.”

Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) praised Biden’s determination to make race and gender the top criteria for selecting Breyer’s successor and added “it also needs to be a person who goes beyond the boundaries of the Constitution for guidance on the Court’s rulings. This way the Court can create laws that Congress is unable to enact due to the opposition of Republicans. This law-free approach will help us to achieve a more equitable distribution of wealth and privilege.

Buttigieg’s Infrastructure Plan

By: John Semmens

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg assured that “the passage of the $1.2 trillion infrastructure legislation will not go down the tired old path of providing more lane-miles of roads and bridges that has been the traditional transportation strategy in the past. Traveling on roadways is one of the most dangerous things most Americans do on a regular basis. Reducing this travel will be the core objective of my plan.”

“The first prong of my plan will be to get people out of their cars,” the Secretary said. “This means making alternatives to driving crucial. We need to improve crosswalks, add additional bus and bike lanes and more to make leaving your car at home the primary travel decision everywhere. Anyone who has traveled by car can’t help but notice that the majority of the traffic exceeds the posted speed limit. Therefore, the second prong of my plan will be to force cars to lower their speeds. We will get this done by lowering posted speed limits and installing more radar speed detectors. The assessment of fines for speeding will be a great boost to government revenues.”

“Eventually, huge numbers of drivers will slow down, take the bus, or walk to their destinations,” Buttigieg predicted. “All told, trillions of miles of travel will be averted and millions of lives will be saved each and every year. I will win a Nobel Prize and be elected president in 2024.”

Meanwhile in another transportation project, the Biden Administration is secretly sending illegal immigrants in “red-eye” charter flights to various parts of the country under cover of darkness. Peeved that this controversial policy was outed, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas explained that “critics who say this is illegal because it violates federal statutes are overlooking the President’s approval of this covert strategy for unifying the nation by integrating recent immigrants to all parts of the country. The President of the United States has an unlimited authority to do what he thinks best under the ‘general welfare’ clause of the Constitution.”

Norway & Sweden Reject Vax for Children

By: John Semmens

Norwegian Minister of Health and Care Services Ingvild Kjerkol announced that “we will not be recommending that children be vaccinated for covid. The risk for children suffering serious illness is extremely low. The side-effects of the vaccines pose a more serious threat to their health. We are also urging 12-15 year-olds who have already gotten one dose to not get the second dose because of the heightened risk of myocarditis.” She went on to cite numerous recent studies supporting these decisions.

In Sweden, Health Agency official Britta Bjorkholm said “we are not recommending covid vaccination for children ages 5-12. With the knowledge we have today, we know there is a low risk for serious disease for children. We don’t see any clear benefit from vaccinating them.”

A recent study published on January 25, 2022, in the Journal of the American Medical Association it was reported that the risk of myocarditis following mRNA COVID vaccination is around 133 times greater than the background risk in the population.

Dr. Anthony Fauci called the slow down in the vaccination program across the global “hasty and irresponsible. It is heartbreaking for me to see it stopped short. As I have been saying for more than a year, the only way out of this pandemic is for everyone to be vaccinated. I will grant that children seem to face little risk from covid. From a selfish perspective there is little personal benefit to them from taking the jab. On the other hand, getting vaccinated is a sacrifice they can make to help achieve the unity that President Biden wants to achieve.”

Pelosi Warns Olympic Athletes

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) warned US athletes “to keep their mouths shut while they’re in Beijing. The Chinese government is ruthless. There is no retaliation so terrible that it would not dare to inflict it on whoever they feel is most vulnerable to pressure.”

“I know the athletes are young and strong,” Pelosi observed. “They are their physical peak and cannot imagine having to knuckle under to a brutal regime. But they need to remember that accidents can happen. Things can go wrong, and injustices could be committed.”

One of the potential injustices that Pelosi suggested might be particularly likely is “the possible confiscation of business investments that I, President Biden, and many other members of Congress could face if President Xi is angered by any misbehavior of our nation’s Olympians. We aren’t all young and vigorous. The investment deals we have made with the Xi regime are vital to ensuring comfort in our golden years. I implore our athletes to not be selfish. Think before you do or say anything that could result in the loss of millions of dollars by those of us who have dedicated our lives to governing this great country of ours.”

University Vaccine Mandates Illegal

By: John Semmens

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares issued a legal opinion declaring that “the state’s public universities and colleges lack the authority to make vaccination a requirement for students attending these schools. Such authority is reserved to the State Assembly. Over the past two years the Assembly has addressed many aspects of the pandemic, but it has not granted university or college officials the power to force students to comply with any vaccination mandate.”

University of Virginia President James Ryan expressed opposition to Miyares’ opinion, saying that “waiting for the Assembly to make the laws is too cumbersome a procedure during an emergency. In our in loco parentis role, we have the responsibility to act in what we see as the best interests of our enrollees. Just as the President of the United States has had to rule by decree in the battle against covid, we too must seize this same power to save the lives of our students and faculty.”

Miyares rejected Ryan’s argument and countered with “emergency is not a legitimate rationale for bypassing the role of legislatures in protecting the freedoms of the people. Public schools cannot arrogate to themselves the in loco parentis argument to displace the actual parents of the students, many of whom who would object to injecting their children with a vaccine that science shows is unnecessary and potentially harmful to them.”

Meanwhile in neighboring Maryland, Prince George’s County Public Schools’ CEO Monica Goldson vowed “to continue requiring students to wear masks until covid no longer exists.” An event that she asserts “will probably never happen.” She went on to laud “our amazing adaptability handling the pandemic.” This is despite the lack of evidence demonstrating the effectiveness of masks and in the face of evidence that masks impede children’s intellectual and social development.

Biden Causing Chaos in Ukraine

By: John Semmens

Biden Causing Panic in Ukraine

President Biden’s efforts to insert himself into the tense situation in Ukraine drew a sharp rebuke from Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky. Biden’s warning that “Ukraine is on the brink of being sacked by Russian troops” was rejected by Zelensky as “hysterical panic-mongering. We have already agreed to respect a previous truce with Russia and are working with Germany and France’s acting as mediators to try to reach a more definitive resolution of all the concerns of both sides.”

Press Secretary Jen Psaki characterized the agreement and negotiations as “illegitimate. Without the participation and approval of the United States any settlement will not be enforcible. Simply put, Putin must back down or we will sabotage his natural gas pipeline to western Europe.”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ken) agreed with Zelensky that “President Biden needs to calm down and allow the most directly involved parties to reach a peaceful resolution. The American people don’t want a war. Threatening Russia is a dangerous gambit with very little chance of ending well. We didn’t like it when Russia put nuclear missiles just 90 miles off our shore in 1962. It should not be hard to understand that Russia may feel uneasy about Ukraine joining NATO and having US weapons and troops sent to Ukraine. Let’s give peace a chance.”

Not wanting to give Sen. Paul the satisfaction of seeing his sage advice influence the Biden Administration’s policy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) is hastily assembling legislation that would dramatically increase military aid to Ukraine. “We’re going to show the American people and the world that Democrats can more effectively engage the enemy than the Republicans did under President Bush. The wars that Bush unleashed in Afghanistan and Iraq lasted twenty years. The wars handled by Democratic presidents Wilson, Roosevelt, Truman and Johnson were all over much more quickly and with better final results. The new war with Russia in Ukraine will add to the Democrats’ historic legacy as winners.”

Dems Favor Tyranny

A poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute found shockingly high percentages of registered Democrats favor harsh treatment of those who don’t obey government directives aimed at battling covid.

The mildest of repressive measures—house arrest of persons refusing to get vaccinated—was supported by 59% of Democrats. Confining the unvaccinated in internment camps like the ones Japanese-Americans were sent to by President Roosevelt during World War II or the ones Australia has now was supported by 45% of Democrats. Spying on and tracking the unvaccinated was supported by 47% of Democrats. Taking children away from their unvaccinated parents was supported by 29% of Democrats. Forty-eight percent of Democrats support fining or imprisoning individuals who publicly dispute the government’s narrative on covid or criticize its policies.

Dr. Anthony Fauci said that “polls like this prove that average Americans want the kind of protection we been endeavoring to provide during the pandemic. Unlike in some other countries, we don’t have crowds in the streets protesting our policies. We have neighbors tattling on neighbors and courageous opinion makers like Don Lemon vilifying vaccine dissenters. It is reassuring to know we are on the right track. All that remains is to subdue the pesky and shrinking minority who have yet to comply with our demands.”

Biden’s Innate Racism

By: John Semmens

Fifty Senate Republicans and two Democrats blocked President Biden’s bill to federalize all elections in order to mandate changes that will make vote fraud easier—by eliminating photo ID requirements, legalizing ballot harvesting, increasing the quantity of mail-in ballots, and blocking regular purges of deceased, moved, and inactive voters from the rolls. There is no question that the “reforms” the Democrats want will increase the number of ballots that will be counted.

The Democrats’ animosity to trying to ensure that only legal votes are counted contradicts polls showing that nearly 80% of black voters favor ID verification before accepting a ballot for counting. Nevertheless, Biden has likened opponents of his legislation to Jefferson Davis, Bull Connor, and George Wallace. The irony is that all these notable racists were Democrats—a fact that Biden dismissed “as just as irrelevant as the fact that more Democrats than Republicans voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Neither is it important that a majority of Blacks favor voter ID. As our decades long in loco parentis role for the Black community has demonstrated, they get more if we do their thinking for them.”

“For example, under my directive the FDA is giving preference to Blacks over whites when it comes to receiving treatment with our limited supply of anti-covid drugs,” the President bragged. “Technically, this isn’t legal. And many admirers of Dr. Martin Luther King would say that it goes against his hope that people would be judged by their character and not by the color of their skin. Noble as this aspiration is it wastes the opportunity to use power to achieve results that cannot be attained through mere good character or hard work. Our voting rights bill would ensure that the Democratic Party stays in power so it can get Blacks the payback we think they deserve. Isn’t that a better deal for the Black man than blind justice?”

In related news, this week President Biden declared that “George Floyd’s death had a bigger impact on America than the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King. The rioting after Dr. King died was less sustained and fruitful than the rioting sparked by Floyd’s death in police custody. The Floyd riots led to significant reductions in funding of police departments around the country. It also generated a movement to place the blame for crime where it really belongs—the people who have more than they deserve. I believe if we can adopt the kind of social credit system and the monitoring of everyone, everywhere, and anytime the government will have a mechanism for redistributing wealth from the undeserving to the victims we have callously been calling criminals for so long.”

Biden Declares First Year “Better than Anyone Expected”

By: John Semmens

President Biden faced the media in the first semi-normal press conference since he took office and declared “I have probably outperformed expectations.” Despite the claim, polls show him plumbing the depths of how low public approval of a president can go.

While admitting his hopes for unifying all Americans behind him have run into trouble, the President blamed “racist and disloyal Republicans for fomenting the hatred that is dividing the country. Rather than accepting the mandate of the largest number of votes I received than any other president, they have consistently objected my plan to spend ourselves back to prosperity. They raise silly questions like ‘where is the money going to come from’ and ‘how will we ever be able to pay back the trillions we are borrowing.’ This is old fogy thinking. Modern monetary theory says we don’t have to pay anything back because the government has the power to create as much new money as we want.”

The President then parried concerns over supply-chain problems by pointing out that “shoppers can still get 89% of the food they need” and promising that “inflation is not a problem because I will issue an executive order to the Treasury to starting sending out more money to each household in America regardless of whether the people are here legally or not. On top of this, all the food saved by denying the unvaccinated from entering restaurants can gathered up and redistributed among the vaccinated–just like the loaves and fishes in the Bible–to help close the 11% gap between what groceries have on their shelves and what the consumers need.”

In related news, a survey conducted by Politico and Morning Consult found that 37% of respondents gave Biden a grade of “F” for his performance as president. The President is said to find these results “encouraging” because “this means that 63% give me a passing grade. That’s better than I did in college.”
