Government Employee Harbored Illegal Aliens in Douglas Home
Stella Peterson, an assistant with Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations in Douglas was arrested Aug. 31 and charged with harboring three illegal immigrants in her home.Peterson's son, Anthony Peterson, was also arrested."(ICE) takes all allegations of employee misconduct seriously and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation by the Southern Arizona Corruption Task Force," ICE official Amber Cargile said in a news release.Peterson has been put on administrative leave as the charges are investigated.Three illegal immigrants told authorities they paid a coyote $2,000 to $3,000 to gain entry into Arizona. They said Anthony Peterson collected $100 from each of them for driving them to the Peterson home. And we wonder why Americans do not trust their federal government.
