Riggs' Lead in Supt. of Public Instruction Primary Down to 575 Votes

As of Saturday morning, 100 percent of the precincts have reported. More than 1 million votes have been counted, and turnout is up to 30 percent. In the ever-tightening State Supt. of Public Instruction race, Franks Riggs' lead (21.9 percent) has dropped to 575 votes over Bob Branch (21.8 percent). Incumbent Diane Douglas is at 21.37 percent and trails Riggs by 2,771 votes.In the Arizona Senate District 12 race, Eddie Farnsworth's lead over Jimmy Lindblom is now 783 votes.
